What is Roblox Voice Chat?
Voice Chat or “Spatial Voice” is a relatively new feature to Roblox, it is avaliable to all users over the age of 13 who verify their age with a valid ID. It allows users to communicate in-game via voice rather than the classic text-chat system. This is how you can gain access to voice chat and how you can enable voice chat on Roblox.
Requirements:
- Be over the age of 13.
- Have a valid ID for verification.
- Have a mobile phone with a camera to scan a QR code.
How to verify your age on Roblox:
- Log on to the Roblox website.
- Go to settings
- In the “Account Info” section, find the “Verify my Age” button & click it.
- Scan the QR code with your phone.
- Follow the instructions on your phone to verify your age with a valid ID, you will also be required to include a selfie for match confirmation.
How to Enable Roblox Voice Chat:
Once you have verified your age, you can now enable voice chat.
- Open settings on the Roblox website
- Go to the “Privacy” tab.
- Toggle “Enable voice chat”.
- Join a game & test it out.
Once voice chat is enabled you should be able to talk to other users in-game if you have a working audio input & output device. If you wish to disable voice chat you can follow the instructions below.
How do Disable Roblox Voice Chat:
If you wish to disable Roblox voice chat after you’ve enabled it, you can do so by following the following:
- Open settingfs on the Roblox Website
- Navigate to the “Privacy” tab.
- Toggle “Enable Voice Chat” so it is no longer enabled.
