What are Limiteds?
Limited items, also known as “limiteds”, are items on the Roblox platform with a limited number of copies. Once the maximum amount of purchasable copies is reached, the item can no longer be purchased from Roblox for a specific amount and can now only be traded for or purchased from other users. When users sell a limited item, they can set the price to whatever they desire, allowing items prices to slowly increase or decrease over time. This can be similar to real life, with supply & demand, and deflation & inflation.
Do You Need Roblox Premium to Trade Limiteds?
As of current, unfortunately, users must purchase Roblox Premium to unlock the ability to trade or sell limited items with other users on the platform, users without cannot do these things. That means that if you purchase a limited item on an account without a subscription to Roblox Premium, the item cannot be traded or sold. If you purchased a limited item before subscribing to Premium, the item unlocks the ability to be traded or sold. On the contrary, if you purchased a limited whilst subscribed to Premium, then stopped your subscription, you will lose the ability to sell or trade the item.
What Does “Limited U” Mean on Roblox?
Limited U items on Roblox are different to normal limited items on Roblox, but why? Well, when normal limited items were first on sale, there wasn’t a limit on how many copies could be purchased, meaning the item wasn’t originally listed as limited. This means that it was originally an ordinary item that was later changed to become limited. However, the “U” in “Limited U” means that the items have always been limiteds and were originally sold with a limited number of copies.
What is Recent Average Price (RAP)?
Recent Average Price (RAP), is the price a limited item has recently been selling for on Roblox. Item prices may fluctuate throughout the year, generally deflation occurs around October time as that’s when people sell their limiteds to buy the Headless Horseman package. Inflation also can occur at different times during the year, and overall. In the past few years, some high-value Roblox limiteds have increased in price massively, such as the Valkyrie Helm & Ice Valkyrie. Recent Average Price can also be linked to supply & demand, the higher the demand of an item, the more likely it is to increase in value as there is a limited number of copies avaliable. This is why the most popular items can generally be of higher value.
